1999 Guestbook

"(What I like best...) I have always enjoyed your dad's poetry and stories. I think I dropped him a note once telling him how much I/we enjoyed his writings." - B.J. (12-30-99)
"(What I like best...) Stories and photos. Hi Walt! Wonderful web site! You have many stories, so we will read them each a day. It will be a great pleasure!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful stories with us." - Y & N & N (11-1-99)
"(What I like best...) We did like the most that funny picture where you said cheese. But all the pictures and pages are nice. We enjoyed the visit on your page. Hope to meet you on my pages too sometimes: http://www.homepages.hetnet.nl/~m4salden/index.htm." - M & P (10-31-99)
"(What I like best...) There's a Lab in it :)" - LILRR (10-23-99)
"Hey Caleb, here is a message from holland, great website you have. Come and take a look at kosaj, my black labrador too - http://www.rendo.dekooi.nl/~leskos/ and also leave a few pawprints behind if you like. Keep up the good work." - R (8-24-99)
"(What I like best...) The lists, stories and Caleb's pictures. I had to laugh at winter nose. Nittany's gets real pink in the winter and jet black in the summer. You can visit Nittany at: http://members.xoom.com/NinaNLS/Nittany/. - C (8-8-99)
"(What I like best...) I like the intro. Very cute. I also like the puppy pictures. My favorite is the one where Caleb is wearing a doggie outfit. Very adorable. Please come check out my two labs at: http://www.dallas.net/~cwebster/." - E (8-3-99)
"(What I like best...) The stories, songs, etc... I really love your writing. I have a dog humor site (http://www.wonderpuppy.net/) and thought I'd seen most everything out there, but no. Your stuff is just wonderful! I would be thrilled to be able to link to your page! Thank you for being so talented and using it on dogs!!!" - L's M (7-21-99)
"(What I like best...) Pics..." - J.A. (7-20-99)
"We have a black lab named 'Caleb Jacob' and a yellow lab named 'Maggie May'. Anyone who loves labs are good people." - S (5-27-99)
"(What I like best...) The pictures, his bio, and the stories. I have 2 (two) labs, Maggie Mae Gamble, a beautiful black lab, born September 23, 1992. Maggie wanted very much to be a mom, but was born with some hormonal problems. We tried to breed her twice, neither took. Three years ago on Christmas morning dear Maggie THOUGHT she gave birth to 4 brand new squeaky toys, she made a nest, took them one by one into our bed when it was bed time, nurtured them for over a month and then some. Needless to say, our hearts ached for her. Our vet loved her so much, when it came time for her to go into heat again, he did artifical insemination, and we waited. On my birthday June 10, we were (and so was our vet), sure she was carrying puppies... but, he could not be sure... so he did a sonogram. No puppies and Maggie wasn't feeling very well, those HORMONES! So, we all decided (our vet, Bill, Maggie's human Dad) and me, that she had to be fixed. And we got Maggie a puppy, a yellow Lab born on the 4th of July - her name is Annie of Independence Day Gamble. And sweet Maggie loves her so very much, lets her do anything she wants. I'll tell you more about her another time. But, she looks exactly like Caleb and has the most wonderful disposition, just full of love (and fun, loves to tease Maggie) have to run... this is a long comment... but more to come later about the two pet loves in my life. Have a beautiful day." S.(J) C. (5-4-99)
"(What I like best...) The Labrador love that it reflects. Caleb, what a handsome Labrador. I have a human son named Caleb. My family is owned by 2 Labradors, a yellow female named Casey and a black male named Herbert. They are the most wonderful dogs. Your stories are very good. Only had a chance to read a couple but will be back to read more. Come visit us at Happy Labs if you get a chance. http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Park/7192/." H (4-11-99)
"It's very interesting homepage. Please visit mine. The URL is: http://www.islandia.is/~labrador/." - O.G. (4-4-99)
"(What I like best...) I have Great Danes but your site shows that 'puppy love' is universal." - J.H. (3-26-99)
"(What I like best...) It is absolutely adorable. Caleb is one handsome dude!!" - J.D. (3-12-99)
"(What I like best...) Liked everything, especially the articles that sounded sad but weren't... cried enough over dogs in my time and try to avoid sad articles... sounds immature, I know. Really enjoyed my time at Caleb's Corner. Liked all articles written and spent a lazy Sunday afternoon associating with a lot of them. I have a question... what does short coupled mean? I've seen it used in some of your articles. Not into show dogs, so I'm not sure if it has something to do with the breed standard? By the way, seeing your photo of Caleb's winter nose came just in time because lately I've been concerned about Maggie's nose turning brown at the tip and was blaming it on her chasing her tennis balls and scooping them off the ice in the yard." - E.M. (2-14-99)
"I recently interviewed you at school about your book. We discussed this website briefly." - B.V. (1-10-99)
"(What I like best...) What I liked best about Caleb's Corner... the pictures, the stories... the fact that somebody else knows what it 'is' to be a 'labrador's human'." - R.F. (1-6-99)
"(What I like best...) The poetry and the photo of Caleb protecting his mommy. Keep up the good work! Yours is my favorite!" - J (1-4-99)
"(What I like best...) Caleb is gorgeous and his dad writes beautifully. I love From A Guide Dog. It made me tear up. I will be working with service dogs in the future. I LOVE LABS! Just thought you'd like to know I have 1 Lab mix who is 12 yrs old, a blk Lab boy who is 9, a yellow Lab girl who is 4 and a 9 month old blk Lab baby boy! I could have a dozen more if I could afford it. I am a trainer and work with many breeds, but I will always have the blessings of Labs in my life. They are unique and very precious." - C (1-3-99)
