Our friend Francis set up a newsgroup for rescues at:
news://rockweb.com/sfm.caryn.dog-rescue - we tried it out on Netscape's newsreader and it worked fine, but we're not sure if other newsreaders will be able to access it. Try it out! Not all service providers carry 'alt' groups with reliability, so your luck with them may vary.
